Ajmer: Workshop for "Capacity Building for DISCOMs" under Demand Side Management Scheme
One day workshop on “Capacity Building for Discoms” under the Demand Side Management Program of BEE was organized in Ajmer on 24th May 2024 at Hotel Bravia, Ajmer. The workshop was organized by Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL), SDA, Government of Rajasthan, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India, and Greentree Global.
The event attracted over 70 officials from both RRECL and Ajmer DISCOM. The program commenced with a welcome address by Mr. K.P. Verma – MD, AVVNL. He also elaborated on the significance of energy efficiency and the pivotal role of energy conservation in technological sectors. Other notable guests who attended the event were Mr. M.C. Baldi – Director Technical, AVVNL, Ms. Shalini Roy - Technical Manager, RRECL, Mr. Gopal Chaturvedi - Addl. Chief Engineer AVVNL and Mr. B.L. Sharma - Chief Accounts Controller.
Mr. Dhruv Jain, Director of GreenTree Global, made an address that explained the foundations of Demand Side Management (DSM). His speech emphasized the critical role DSM plays in advocating for joint efforts with energy users and developing measures to promote energy saving. Mr. Prabhanjan Kr. Sen, a Technical Consultant, then explained 'Innovative DSM Strategies, Customer Engagement, and Energy Conservation,' adding to the discussion with insights into new approaches. Mr. Rohit Soni, a Financial Consultant and Financial Advisor, clarified 'Financial Management and Investment,' elaborating on the investment opportunities inherent in DSM and their associated financial rewards. The events concluded with an interactive session for inquiries, followed by a valedictory address presented by Mr. M.C. Baldi, Director Technical, AVVNL.
The conference was full of energy and passion, and participants gained a wealth of knowledge and experience. This event marked a significant milestone in GreenTree Global's ongoing project activities to implement effective demand-side management tactics within the distribution company (DISCOM).
